Canon Pixma MG5600 Review– The MG5600 is otherwise difficult to fail. It’s fast enough when it prints, delivering a first mono page in just nine seconds and going to reach 11.9 pages per minute (ppm) in our text test. At 3.7 ppm, color printing was acceptablely fast, although 6x4in photographic prints took more than two minutes each on the highest printing quality. Mono A4 copies took only 12 seconds, and color 25 seconds, while scans were fast up to 600 dots per inch (DPI). The MG5600 took 99 seconds to scan a photo of 6x4in in 1, PPP, which is a little lethargic.

It is difficult to criticize the quality of the results. Although the black text was not the sharpest we have seen, the color graphics were excellent, as did the photos printed on the glossy paper of Canon. Photocopies were accurately exposed, while the scans were extremely sharp with accurate color reproduction and good shade detail preservation.

The operating costs of MG5600 make a final, strong argument in their favor. Stick to supplies XL and a page of text and graphics should cost about 7.3 p, which is reasonable for a jet of home ink. Even though we found some things to be grumpy, the Canon PIXMA MG5600 is an excellent general-purpose home for MFP in general.

For some years, Canon has adopted what we have described as a Chinese lacquer box looking for its all-in-one-large and with very beveled edges to its top decks. Its new devices for this year, such as the Home Office-targeted PIXMA MG5600, have a modified look, so it is lower profile and has a smoother, textured black finish.
