Canon PIXMA TR8520 Review– While TR8520 does not look like its predecessor, the Canon MX922 distributes the same five inks. Standard four mold-based process color inks increase the color move (range) of a pigment-black ink that decides the text and black areas in the photos, as well as cyan, magenta, yellow, and Black (CMYK). Epson’s XP-640 uses five inks, and the Canon TS9020 and TS8020 each use six (pigment-black ink and a photo that expands only color moves-gray ink, but also improves the quality of grayscale photography). HP’s Envy 7855 comes with only four process color inks. This makes it the least expensive to use these models, especially when printing photos, and HP’s Instant Ink subscription program support.

In addition to the TR8520 configuration, the wide and easy-to-use 4.3-inch color touchscreen LCD, including setting up and launching walkup tasks such as copying or printing from cloud sites, consists of a power button from the entire Control panel. As for the TR8520 ‘s maximum monthly task cycle and the recommended monthly print volume, as we saw with the TS series Pixmas earlier this year, Canon does not release these numbers for the consumer class (business-oriented) printers anymore.

TR8520 is simple and easy to set up, but requires an extra step or two other inkjet AIOs. In spite of this, once you plug in and open, TR8520 ‘s large control panel walks you through each process of packaging and loading five ink cartridges to fill two paper trays. No part of the installation process is left for misinterpretation.

Except for printer and scanner drivers, the software package includes: Scan Utility, Canon’s pretty robust browser front; Printer Assistant; Image representation; A collection of filters and utilities, including My image Garden (easy photoprint, creative filters, full HD movie printing, image correction/improve, image clipping and red eye correction); and provide a collection of icons and quick menu (located in the lower right corner of the screen, good, quick access to the features listed here and others).

TR8520 comes with the most connection options. These include: Wi-Fi; Ethernet; Wired and wireless PictBridge for printing photos from certain Canon cameras; a USB port; an SD card slot; and Bluetooth 4.0 for easy printing from mobile devices. Other mobile printing options include Apple AirPrint, Google cloud Print, Canon Print app (for printing emails), Pixma Cloud Connection, and several others.
